About your new Role

This role as our Product Manager reports to the National Manager of Marketing and Product for our Commercial Vehicles Volkswagen brand. This role will be to champion your portfolio of Volkswagen Commercial vehicles. You will be responsible for the product strategy and ensure that VGA sources, delivers and markets the right mix of products for the Australian marketplace, whilst also working with the marketing team to drive the marketing communications, ensuring the range and the wider Commercial Vehicle products are a joint success.

Your main responsibilities will include:

· Monitor market and product positioning

· Manage and negotiate product range, positioning, specifications and pricing

· Manage product related systems & pricing

· Develop and assist manage product related internal and consumer facings assets and communications

· Working with marketing team to conduct strategic planning for communication of portfolio products

· Work with marketing team to deliver appropriate advertising and brand communications

· Other duties relating to role that are not limited to i.e. internal/external stakeholder management, reporting, product presentations and event support

About you
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following:

· Strong automotive industry knowledge (market and technical)

· A Business/Marketing/Finance degree or similar is preferred

· Strong communication skills across varying audiences (e.g. customer contact, internal communications and dealerships)

· Knowledge of regulatory environment for vehicle registration and specification as well as advertising and communications

· Strong negotiation skills

· Practical problem solving skills with an operational focus

· Training program development and delivery

· High attention to detail and time management skills

· Project management
