Looking for an Indian Cuisine experienced Chef

Talking Tables Indian Cuisine located in Penrith is looking for a qualified chef to join the team. We are a busy restaurant (& catering services)  serving a high volume of quality and fresh Indian food. This is a busy position and will require applicants who have previous experience in a similar role and cuisine. We value teamwork and are looking for a qualified and experienced full-time Chef to join our team.

To be successful in this role you must have a minimum 2 years work experience in a busy kitchen environment & relevant Diploma or equivalent qualification as well as knowledge of all kitchen operation, quality assurance and OH&S.

About the Role:

Your duties and responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

· Create and prepare high-quality dishes with a focus on innovation and taste.

· Develop new menu recipes and upgrade existing menu.

· Oversee kitchen operations and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

· Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs.

· Maintain standards for food storage

· Lead and inspire a team of kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

Demonstrate cooking techniques and procedures with relevant staff

· Train new staffs and rostering

· Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment

About you:

The successful candidate must satisfy the following criteria:

- Minimum 2 years experience as a chef in a busy restaurant.

- Minimum of a relevant Diploma and Cert IV in Commercial Cookery qualification

- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques and methods.

- Excellent leadership and communication skills.

- Ability to work with a team, under pressure and meet deadlines.
