Commercial Solar Electrician

The role:

We are currently looking for a qualified electrician (A-grade) to join the team as a Site Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and enthusiasm for the solar industry. 

An understanding of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, battery storage technology, and electrical safety regulations is preferred, however A-grade applicants with no prior experience in the solar industry will be considered. For those without previous experience and/or accreditation, SAA training and accreditation will be paid for within 6 weeks of commencement and will be a condition of employment.

 

Responsibilities:

• Leading an installation team on small to large solar projects, ranging from residential installations and battery installations to large commercial or industrial installations.
• Ability to communicate clearly and positively and find solutions to problems when needed.
• Building and maintaining strong working relationships within the team, suppliers and our clients.
• Observe and implement all relevant OH&S requirements at all times.
• Provide technical support.
• Upload site images, serial numbers, and test results to relevant software.

 

Qualifications & Experience: 

• A-Grade Electrical licence and registration with ESV
• Working at Heights ticket
• Working Safely in the Solar Industry ticket 
• EWP licence (preferred)
• Current Victorian Drivers Licence
• Previous experience in leading and supervising a 2-3 person team
• SAA Design and Install certification highly desirable (training will be provided to the right candidate)
• Battery Storage certification highly desirable (training will be provided to the right candidate)
