About the role

Are you passionate about the automotive industry and skilled in training? RACQ is seeking a dedicated and experienced Technical Training Officer (TTO) to join our dynamic team. As a TTO, you will play a vital role in researching, developing, and delivering high-quality training programs that meet the needs of both internal and external customers. You will have the opportunity to work with emerging technologies and provide expert guidance to our roadside assistance team members.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Exceptional Training: Utilise contemporary training methodologies to meet ISP & ESP needs, ensuring high-quality learning experiences.
  • Develop & Maintain Training Materials: Create, review, and update RACQ training materials to keep them relevant and aligned with industry standards.
  • Provide Expert Advice & Support: Offer technical advice and training services to internal and external customers. Support the roadside assistance team through phone consultations on a rotational basis, sometimes outside of business hours.
  • Stay Ahead of Industry Trends: Conduct research on emerging technologies and prepare customers for future developments in the automotive industry.
  • Project Participation: Contribute to new training programs, ensuring that they meet the unique needs of our customers.
  • Manage Course Bookings & Records: Ensure efficient training bookings and accurate record-keeping in line with RACQ policies, procedures, and standards.

 

About you

  • Relevant technical experience, with a strong background in automotive technologies and training environments.
  • Ability to research and assess training needs.
  • Proven success in designing, developing, and delivering training programs.
  • Expertise in evaluating training effectiveness.
  • Strong communication skills—both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders.
  • A valid MR Driver's License
