About the role

We are seeking an experienced Carpenter, hammer-hand or motivated Apprentice Carpenter to join our team at J Wellstead Enterprise PTY LTD' based around Ellenbrook, Western Australia. This full-time position will involve a range of carpentry and roofing tasks to support the delivery of high-quality residential construction projects.

What you'll be doing

• Undertake a variety of carpentry and roofing tasks, including framing, roofing, and the installation of cladding.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure work is completed to the required standard
• Collaborate with the wider construction team to ensure the timely and efficient completion of projects
• Maintain a safe and tidy work environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations
• For apprentices, complete relevant training and qualifications under the guidance of experienced carpenters

What we're looking for

• Formal carpentry qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Carpentry, or demonstrated experience as an Apprentice Carpenter
• A strong work ethic
• Strong practical skills and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to a high standard of finish
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• A commitment to workplace safety and a proactive approach to continuous improvement
• A valid white card is a must to be on the building site
• A currant WA driving license is highly preferred but a reliable transport to and from work is a must.
