The Role
We’re seeking a Grade A Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll work on a wide variety of tasks including maintenance, fault-finding, troubleshooting, and machinery repair. You will be a key player in installing and commissioning production lines and will be responsible for wiring and designing advanced control systems. Your ability to read and interpret schematic wiring and mechanical diagrams will be crucial to your success.

What You’ll Do

• Maintenance & Repair: Ensure our advanced machinery runs at peak performance by diagnosing issues and performing timely, expert repairs.
• Installation & Commissioning: Lead the installation and commissioning of production lines, ensuring that every system meets our rigorous standards.
• Control Systems: Design and wire control systems using your technical prowess, fine-tuning systems that rely on Variable Speed Drives (VSD) and Servo motors.
• PLC & VSD Programming: Leverage your programming expertise—experience with PLC systems (with a special focus on Omron) and VSD programming is highly desired.
• Client Engagement: Travel within Victoria and interstate to work directly with clients, providing expert commissioning, training, and ongoing support.
• Mentorship: Use your superior technical knowledge and communication skills to mentor apprentices, contributing to the growth of Australia’s skilled workforce.

Skills & Experience

• Certification: Minimum Cert III Electrical Licence (Victorian)
• Grade A Standard: Proven track record as a Grade A Electrician, demonstrating top-tier expertise in the trade
• Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Industry Experience: Demonstrable experience in maintenance and fault-finding, particularly within the Food and Manufacturing industries
• Technical Expertise: Advanced knowledge of VSD and Servo systems, with substantial experience in wiring and designing sophisticated control systems
• Standards Compliance: Experience in upgrading machinery to comply with AS4024 Safety and AS300 Electrical Standards
• Desired Programming Skills: Proficiency in PLC and HMI controls with highly desired skills in PLC and VSD programming—especially with Omron systems
• Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, consistently rising to new challenges
