Grounds and gardens supervisor

About the role

Design Group landscaping is seeking an experienced Grounds, Gardens and handyman Supervisor to join our team in Warriewood, NSW. This is a full-time position responsible for managing the upkeep and maintenance of our clients' grounds, gardens and buildings. As Grounds and Gardens Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring our outdoor environments are beautifully presented and well-maintained and undertake handyman work throughout the college.

What you'll be doing

• Supervising a team of gardeners and groundskeepers to ensure all grounds and gardens are meticulously maintained

• Developing and implementing maintenance schedules and strategies to keep indoor and outdoor spaces looking their best

• Monitoring the health and condition of plants, lawns, trees and other landscaping features

• Coordinating the procurement of necessary tools, equipment and supplies

• Liaising with clients to understand their requirements and preferences

• Troubleshooting any issues that arise and finding solutions to keep projects on track

• Providing hands-on handyman,gardening, logistics and landscaping work as needed

• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with relevant regulations

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a grounds or gardens supervisor role, preferably within the landscaping or handyman industries

• Excellent knowledge of horticulture, landscaping, handyman works and grounds maintenance practices

• Strong team management and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team

• Outstanding attention to detail and a commitment to quality

• Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Current driver's licence
