Motor Mechanic (full-time)

Main duties

• Communicate with customers regarding vehicle history, performance, any issues with the vehicle. Alternatively, refer to the job card and follow notes re repairs required.  
• Using scan tools and information from the customer to diagnose faults
• Plan work on each job and complete all records regarding work done and parts used.
• Reconditioning engines.
• Servicing company fleet.
• Part fitment for the parts that we sell. Ensuring parts operate as required, the vehicle is repaired, and roadworthy.
• Engine run tests.
• Keep workshop area tidy with all tools and parts back in place.

Reports to: General Manager

Qualifications required:  

• Relevant qualification at Certificate III level. Alternatively, work experience of at least 3 years can substitute for the qualifications.
• Valid driver licence

Required skills: 

• Attention to detail
• Experience using scan/diagnostic tools (preferably Autel, ISTA, Autologic, etc.)
• Punctual
• Communicate effectively with members of the team and/or customers

Experience required: 

At least 1 year of motor mechanic experience.

Proposed salary range:  $75,000-$85,000
