Qualified Climbing Arborist

About the role

Aussie Tree Solutions is seeking a qualified Climbing Arborist to join our team in Arana Hills, Queensland. As a Qualified Climbing Arborist, you will be responsible for providing expert tree care and maintenance services, including pruning, removal, and emergency response. This is a full-time position, and you will be an integral part of our mission to preserve and protect the local urban forest.

What you'll be doing

• Inspecting and assessing trees to identify issues and determine the appropriate course of action

• Performing complex tree climbing and aerial work to prune, thin, and remove trees as needed

• Operating a range of specialised equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, and Elevated Work Platforms (EWP)

• Providing emergency tree services, such as storm damage response and hazardous tree removal

• Maintaining detailed records of all work performed and materials used

• Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies

• Collaborating with the broader team to provide excellent customer service

What we're looking for

• Formal qualifications in Arboriculture, with a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Climbing Arborist

• A strong understanding of tree biology, health, and maintenance techniques

• Proficiency in the use of all relevant equipment and tools, including chainsaws, chippers, and EWP's

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to lead a team by example.

• The ability to follow procedures and complete the necessary paperwork to complete the job

• A commitment to safety and a demonstrated understanding of relevant workplace health and safety regulations

• A valid driver's licence and the ability to work in a physically demanding outdoor environment
