We are currently seeking an experienced and self-motivated Procurement Officer to join our team on a full-time basis, working out of our Head Office in Riverwood, Sydney.
As a proactive, self-motivated, and highly organised professional with extensive experience in procurement. This role involves managing both routine and ad hoc procurement activities, collaborating with stakeholders, and executing procurement strategies to meet business goals. The Procurement Officer is responsible for overseeing accessory ordering, liaising with suppliers, negotiating pricing, managing inventory, sourcing new suppliers, and ensuring efficient supply chain operations. If you’re an experienced procurement officer with a proven ability as a results-oriented professional - we want you on our team!
Plan, create and review accessory ordering fortnightly for AU branches or monthly for NZ branches or on request.
Liaise with suppliers to introduce new products, update information, negotiate price & promotion and resolve discrepancies.
Communicate with branches to expand stock range and encourage sales.
Accessory products price changes and ERP information update of summarised price change information to SCM and COO.
Maintain and update unit cost and list price of all accessory products.
Perform regular checks on products with shelf life and remind branches to rotate or transfer their stocks when necessary.
Assist accounts to resolve any accessory product invoice issues.
Source, establish and maintain the relationship with new suppliers.
New supplier onboarding.
New product sampling, promotion, and ordering.
Source alternative products and suppliers to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Collect marketing and product information and provide regular written report/updates to Head of Product and Supply Chain.
Provide all monthly and annual reports to Head of Product and Supply Chain in required timeline.
Experience and knowledge with large ERP systems (SAGE X3 would be desirable).
Advanced Microsoft applications and computer literacy skills.
Understanding and experience in Warehouse management systems and processes.
Proven experience of procurement processes and best practices
Previous exposure to Glass Automotive Industry or Glass industry in general would be an advantage
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
Competent to work independently as well as part of a team.
Ability to multi-task and prioritise tasks.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
