Carpenter and joiner

Simon Lang Projects are currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Carpenter to join their team in Sunshine west 3020 and Brooklyn VIC 3012 The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:

• Apply carpentry trade skills, general framing, partition walls in commercial spaces, construction and installation of flooring, walls door frames, range of cladding internal and external, building appropriate substrates for joinery to be hung from or appropriate supports.

• Coordinate site preparation

• Interpret building standards, codes and regulations

• Coordinate planning for building tasks

• Provide advice to, and liaise with, project personnel on matters relating to carpentry, joinery and construction requirements

• Interpret plans, specifications and drawings.

• • Install and modify as required any joinery and cabinetry.

• Assist in the compilation of specifications, scope of works and costs estimates.

Skills and Attributes:

• Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent (or higher)

• 2- 3 years’ experience in general carpentry work

• Physically fit and able to work in a team environment.
