Thaxted Park Golf Club, nestled in the picturesque Southern suburb of Woodcroft, is a premier destination for golf enthusiasts, situated just 20 km from Adelaide’s CBD. Our club boasts a rich heritage and a commitment to maintaining impeccable grounds, offering an unparalleled experience for our members and guests.

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our Greenkeeping Team. Ideally, you will have a proven background in a hands-on role with grounds maintenance of golf courses or turf management. As a Groundskeeper/Greenkeeper, you will play a crucial role in the upkeep and maintenance of our golf course, working under the guidance of the Course Superintendent. 

This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic outdoor environment with a focus on delivering excellence in grounds care.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Follow instructions from the Course Superintendent and/or Assistant Superintendent.

  • Conduct turf maintenance tasks including various types of mowing and operation of a diverse range of machinery.

  • Perform horticultural and facility-related duties as required.

  • Maintain professional conduct and awareness while working in the public eye.

  • Utilise horticultural equipment effectively, including blowers, hedgers, whipper snippers, push mowers, and ride-on mowers.

 

About You:

  • Possession of a valid Driver's License.

  • Demonstrated experience in the grounds maintenance industry, preferably within golf courses or turf management.

  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.

  • Qualifications in Horticulture, Turf Management, or Landscaping are advantageous.

  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a small team environment.

 

Requirements:

  • Availability to work flexible hours, including rostered weekend shifts.

  • Reliability, motivation, and a strong work ethic are essential.

  • Capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a small team setting.

 

Working Hours:

Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week.

Rotating weekend roster.
