About the Opportunity:

The Pump Technician is responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, repair and servicing of pumps and associated plumbing systems. This role ensures that all pump systems are operating efficiently, meeting compliance standards, and providing reliable service to clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing maintenance, mechanical troubleshooting and pump system diagnostics including electricals for pump control panels and experience with sewer pump systems, stormwater pump systems, cold water booster pump systems and hot water circulation pump systems.

About the Role:

  • Install, inspect, maintain, and repair various types of pumps, including booster pumps, submersible pumps, and circulation pumps.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot pump and plumbing system faults, identifying required repairs or replacements.

  • Perform routine maintenance and servicing of pumps to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

  • Conduct system testing and flow analysis to identify efficiency improvements.

  • Work closely with clients to assess their needs and provide expert recommendations.

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and installations.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

  • Assist with the procurement of replacement parts and materials as needed.

  • Support emergency call-outs and breakdown repairs as required.

About You:

  • Relevant trade qualification in plumbing, mechanical engineering, electrical or a related field.

  • Experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of pump systems including pump control panels.

  • Strong understanding of plumbing and mechanical systems.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Valid driver’s license. 

 Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience in a plumbing / pump maintenance environment.

  • Knowledge of electrical components related to pump systems.

  • Confined space and working at heights certification (if applicable).

  • Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and compliance standards.
