About the Role on Offer:
Wallenius Wilhelmsen is looking for a Spray Painter to join our friendly team in Laverton North working with brand new heavy vehicles & equipment bringing them to an automotive standard and finish.

We are looking for a team player who has a great sense of humour but can still focus and ‘getting the job done’ during our busy periods. Someone who is self-motivated, can lean on their personal expertise to problem solve and fix any quality issues to ensure we can meet our high standards on customer satisfaction will be a great fit to join our skilled and dynamic Paint team.
The anticipated remuneration for this role, depending on qualifications, skills and experience, is between $65,000 and $78,000 (gross) per annum.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities for the role include:
Work in a way that actively promotes the company’s commitment to the highest standard of health and safety in the workplace by adhering to the company’s OH&S systems, procedures and policies.
Maintain a workplace that reflects the company brand image by ensuring work areas are kept clean and tidy.
Carry out thorough inspections on customer’s equipment in accordance with written work instructions so the company can meet its promise to its customers of providing a second to none inspection service.
Carry out paint repairs to customer equipment to the highest possible standard in accordance with written and verbal instructions.
Complete all required paperwork and take accountability for your work quality.
Carry out any reasonable request that is within your scope of trade, training or knowledge.
Ensure all work is carried out to a standard that meets or exceeds our customer’s expectations.
Complete all relevant documentation accurately and promptly including time sheets, repair orders and quality documentation.
Share ideas and knowledge to find innovative solutions to further enhance customer satisfaction and improve operational efficiencies.
In addition, as a frontline team member, you will be expected to uphold the highest standards of professional conduct. Examples of your responsibilities will include customer focus, professionalism, team collaboration, integrity, adaptability, problem solving, dependability, respect for diversity, communication skills and a positive attitude.
Qualifications
Mandatory requirements:
Excellent color matching skills
Ability to maintain focus and work to deadlines
High attention to detail and a focus on quality
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision
Always follows all OH&S requirements
Experience working on trucks and agriculture equipment
Experience in applying decals
Desirable:
Trade Certificate in Auto, Spray Painting – AUR32412 - Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing Technology
Experience in Panel Beating
Experience in Plastics Repair
Experience in Fiberglass Repairs
