Brightwood Group is a leading property maintenance and facilities management provider, servicing commercial and industrial sites across the region. We’re currently seeking a reliable and hands-on Trades Assistant to join our growing team.

About the Role

You’ll be supporting our trade technicians and maintenance team across a wide range of tasks including:

• Deliveries: Transporting materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites.
  Must be able to drive a manual tipper truck.

• Spotting Duties: Acting as a safety spotter for:

  • Elevated Work Platform (EWP) operations

  • Hot works including welding and cutting tasks

•  General Labouring: Site clean-ups, waste removal, basic landscaping, moving materials and equipment.

• Emergency Clean-Ups when required.

• Minor Maintenance Jobs: Patch small holes, touch-up paint, install signage, replace ceiling tiles, etc.

• Furniture/Equipment Handling: Assembly, relocation, and adjustments.

• Warehouse Support

• Site Measuring: Take basic site measurements to assist with job planning.

• Base Pay: $24.10 per hour (Negotiable)

• Standard Weekly Hours: 38 hours

• Daily Allowance: $18 per day

• Total Weekly Pay: $1,005.80 + super

Important Information Before You Apply

• A manual driver’s license is essential.

• Use of Company Vehicle:

  • When working alone, you may use the Brightwood floater vehicle. This must be collected from and returned to the office daily.

  • When rostered with another technician, you must arrange your own transport to the first job and from the final job site.

• Vehicle Allocation: Brightwood Group may offer a dedicated work vehicle after 6–12 months of consistent performance.
