About the role

We are seeking an experienced Trade Assistance in the welding profession to join our team at Weldfast Fabrication Pty Ltd in Kewdale, WA. This full-time position will play a crucial role in supporting our welding operations and contributing to the overall success of our fabrication business.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting our experienced welding team in carrying out a variety of welding tasks and projects

• Preparing work materials, equipment, and work area in compliance with safety standards

• Performing basic welding and metal fabrication duties as directed by the welding team

• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment to ensure efficient operations

• Identifying and reporting any issues or concerns to the supervisory team

• Participating in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills

What we're looking for

• Prior experience in trade assistance or laborer's role, preferably within a welding or fabrication environment

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions precisely

• Familiarity with the use of welding equipment and basic metal fabrication tools

• A keen interest in learning and developing your welding and fabrication skills

• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

• A commitment to workplace health and safety
