Parks and Gardens Labourer

• Permanent ongoing position based at our Five Dock Depot Location
• 38 hours per week + Participation in 9-day fortnight scheme

Council is seeking a hardworking and motivated Parks and Gardens Labourer to join our operation team within the Open Space department.

About the role:

Not limited to the below, an average day may see you:

• Mowing and maintaining community lawns & passive open space parks
• Clearing litter and debris
• Performing general maintenance tasks and manual excavation as directed
• Operating and maintaining equipment and tools such as lawn mowers (push and ride-on) edgers, whipper-snippers and other small plan machinery 

About the person:

We seek individuals who have:

• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• A current Driver’s Licence (MR Licence preferred)
• WorkCover accredited Construction Induction Card (White Card)

Previous experience in a similar position and a Chemical Users Certificate will be highly regarded.

What’s on offer

We are offering a remuneration between $60,189 - $69,218 per annum + Allowance + Super.
