Tasks & responsibilities

Prepare and cook dishes according to menu specifications and recipes
Follow recipes and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality in food preparation
Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including equipment and workstations
Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations
Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
Embrace opportunities for learning and skill development under the guidance of experienced chefs
Train and supervise junior kitchen staff

Qualifications & experience

Proven experience as a Commis Chef or similar role for a minimum of 2 years
Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and team work skills
Hold minimum Certificate IV in Commercial cookery and Diploma of Hospitality Management or similar discipline
