About the Client:

Our client is a well-established, interstate, transport and logistics company based in Marsden Park. We are currently seeking Fleet Allocators to join their team.

This position will see you working Monday to Friday ongoing basis, temp to perm opportunity. 

About the Role:

The role is responsible for the coordination of frontline company and subcontractor vehicles, ensuring freight is delivered complete and collected in full within designated timeslots.

The role involves coordinating transport scheduling, allocations, load plans and driver route requirements.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Build professional rapports with company and subcontractor drivers.
  • Promote the importance of communication, reliability, safe driving practices and efficiency.
  • Ensure comprehensive optimisation of fleet by coordinating the selection of vehicles based on freight volumes, freight type and labour cost.
  • Coordinate daily allocations of drivers and vehicles to ensure customer timeslots and expectations.
  • Be able to identify and reduce risks, improve productivity and reduce financial cost to the business.
  • Audit driver and subcontractor log book entries and daily work records.
  • Coordinate fleet allocations to ensure they promote safety and driver best practice.
  • Ensure deliveries and pickups are coordinated efficiently and effectively by means of fleet utilisation, strategic planning of routes and enacting the most cost effective approach.
To be successful for this position you will need to:
  • Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the Transport and Logistics Industry.
  • Have a minimum of 1 years’ experience in a Fleet Controller capacity.
  • Available Monday to Friday on day shift
  • Have a can-do attitude and be willing to learn new things
  • Work autonomously and as a team
