About the role

We are seeking a full-time Yardperson to join our dynamic team at East Coast Generators in Altona North, Victoria. As a Yardperson, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our equipment and facilities, ensuring the smooth operation of our Generator Hire, Sales & Service business.

What you'll be doing

• Assist with preparing equipment for hire and loading / unloading of equipment
• Delivering and picking up trailer mounted generator sets and lighting towers
• Picking up goods from suppliers 
• Rolling cables and returning to shelving with forklift
• Visually checking returned goods from hire
• Cleaning trucks and equipment
• Keeping the depot tidy, clean and organised
• Putting away stock and carrying out stocktake
• Moving vehicles around the yard to ensure best access
• Identify improvements and opportunities

What we're looking for

• Physically fit
• A strong work ethic and a commitment to safety
• A keen eye for detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately
• A valid driver's licence
• Experience towing trailers preferred
• A forklift licence and experience operating a forklift required
