We require the right person to slot into our team who will fabricate and repair metal products and structures.

This is a permanent, full-time position. You will be based in Salisbury, Queensland. 

Key Accountabilities:

• Use various welding techniques to join metal parts, including welding different types of metals using different welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, ARC, OXY/ACT and cutting. 
• Use various flame torches and machines to cut metal parts, including using OXY/ACT to cut and blow holes in UBI beams and using a wide range of power tools to cut angle and EPS panels.
• Use acidic solution to finish products, including cleaning and preparing surfaces using chemicals. 
• Determine job requirements by studying drawings and blueprints, such as complex set out of subfloor frames including sunken showers and doors, and complex set out of wall panels with accurate electrical locations cut into the wall panel steal skins.
• Perform precision bending of metal parts, including manipulating metal panels and flashings.
• Perform grinding and chiselling to clean welds, including cleaning back all welding work for final painting. 

Your Application:

To be successful in the role, your application will need to demonstrate:

Essential Requirements:        

• At least 3 years of work experience as boilermaker / welder,
• Demonstrated advanced ability to read blueprints and accurately calculate complex set outs, with no margin for error,
• Current forklift licence, 
• Demonstrated experience with using various equipment including but not limited to:

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Remuneration:

Appointment to this role will have a total remuneration package of up to $99,235 comprising base salary within the range of $83,000 to $89,000 plus 11.5% superannuation.
