As a Bricklaying Apprentice (CPC33020) for 48 months, you will learn to:

• Study plans and specifications to determine materials, dimensions, and installation procedures.
• Seal foundations with damp-resistant materials and spread layers of mortar to serve as base and binder for blocks.
• Lay bricks in rows, designs, and shapes, spreading mortar between the joints.
• Embed blocks in mortar and remove excess mortar to ensure a clean, professional finish.
• Cut, shape, and polish stones and bricks using machines and hand tools.
• Repair and maintain bricks, cement blocks, and related structures to ensure their longevity and stability.

A bricklaying apprentice may be eligible for up to $1750 at 6 and 12 months and $750 at 18 and 24 months.
