Civil labourer water \ sewer

About the role

AAE Civil Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Civil Labourers to join our team in Melbourne. As a full-time Civil Labourer, you will be responsible for a variety of general labouring duties on water and sewer infrastructure projects. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the delivery of infrastructure and work alongside a knowledgeable and dedicated team.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting with the installation, maintenance and repair of water and sewer pipelines new and existing

• Operating hand and power tools as required to complete tasks

• Performing general labouring duties such as site preparation, excavation, backfilling and site clean-up

• Adhering to all safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe work environment

• Collaborating with the wider construction team to deliver projects on time and to a high standard

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a Civil Labourer or in a similar construction/infrastructure role (preferred)

• Demonstrated ability to safely operate a range of hand and power tools (preferred)

• Good physical fitness and stamina to perform demanding manual labour tasks including digging by hand and cleaning up by hand as required. (must have)

• Commitment to working safely and following all site procedures and policies, including wearing all compulsory PPE

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Must have white card as a minimum

• Must have car license. Truck license is an advantage

• First aid/CPR an advantage

• Traffic control ticket an advantage

• Excavator ticket and spotters ticket preferred.
