Full time
As an Automotive Technician (Motor Mechanic– Light Vehicle) at JAX Tyres Bowen Hills, you will be required to carry out the servicing and the mechanical duties in accordance with Australian industry standards and as specified by JAX Tyres.
You need to identify and rectify vehicle faults focusing on JAX Approved mechanical steering, brakes, suspensions and seasonal oil service.
Occasionally as required, perform wheel alignment and conducting post alignment checks, road testing if required. Carry out the fitting, balancing, repairs and general servicing of tyres and ancillary products as directed.

- Salary between $70,000 to $80,000 plus superannuation
Task & Responsibilities
- Successfully repair all customer vehicles focusing on JAX Tyres core products of tyres, wheels, brakes, suspension and associated services
- Repair and replace worn and defective parts
- Assembling and installing mechanical components
- Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical components to diagnose issues
- Inspect vehicle computer
- Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles
- Maintain parts inventory and cleanliness in the workshop
- Maintain equipment and tools in good condition
Qualification & Experience
- Relevant trade qualifications (minimum Certificate IV or equivalent) or at least 1-Year of relevant employment experience
- Demonstrated working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
- Industry knowledge and safe work practices / OH&S
- Current drivers licence of in the process of acquiring a driving licence
- Good work ethic and willingness to work
- Self-Motivated and can work as a team
- Work well under pressure
- Good customer service skills
- Good attitude towards work
- Be fit and able to carry out manual labour
