About the position:

• Permanent full-time positions with a potential to negotiate your starting location.
• $41.83 per hour, includes a $6 per hour Critical Worker Trades Allowance.
• $25 per week tool allowance.
• Plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation.

• Standard work hours are 6:30am - 4:00pm.

About the Team, Facilities and Plant:

The Fleet includes light vehicles, prime movers & trailers and heavy earth moving plant. 

Council has a modern fleet that is maintained via workshops located at Charlton, Crows Nest and Pittsworth with expansion in progress for field servicing. 

The Charlton Depot is a modern, state of the art facility. 

How to be successful in this position:

Qualification(s), training and/or experience, specific to the role:

• Minimum Certificate III in Motor Mechanic/Diesel Fitter or equivalent from a recognised Tertiary Institution.
• WHS Competency (White Card) for CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry, or equivalent, or a willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
• Current ‘C’ Class Manual Driver’s Licence.
• Experience as a Mechanic/Diesel Fitter working with a range of plant and equipment.
