What We Are Looking For: 

We’re building a Security Guard Talent Pool, if you’re passionate about safety, enjoy working with people, and can stay focused during fast-paced events — we want to hear from you! The role often involves standing for prolonged periods, frequently outdoors, so resilience and stamina are essential.

We’re especially looking for team members who demonstrate:

•    Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills

•    Ability to stay calm under pressure and make sound decisions
•    A professional, friendly, and approachable demeanour
•    Teamwork and adaptability in changing environments

What You Will Be Doing: 
As an ACESGroup Security Officer, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the safety and success of each event. 
Your responsibilities may include:
•    Welcoming and assisting event attendees with a customer-focused approach
•    Managing ticketing and credential checks at entry points
•    Conducting bag checks for restricted and prohibited items
•    Roaming through crowds to monitor behaviour and ensure a safe environment
•    Managing crowd flow and providing event and venue information
•    Securing event perimeters and managing restricted areas (e.g., backstage, performance zones, field of play)
•    Protecting event assets and key personnel
•    Monitoring, responding to, and reporting incidents
•    Preparing general security reports and logs

What You Will Need: 
To be eligible for a Security role, you must have:
•    A valid VIC Security Licence
•    Current First Aid Certificate
•    Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Competency Card (preferred)
•    Flexibility to work dynamic hours — including evenings and weekends
•    Strong communication skills and a passion for providing excellent customer service
•    Punctuality, reliability, and a professional attitude
•    An appreciation for events, sports, and entertainment
•    Physical endurance to stand and stay alert for long periods — often outdoors
