Tropical Waste Services is looking for a Waste Truck Operator in Mackay!

 In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transport and collection of various waste materials. You will be a key player in our operations across all waste streams, contributing to the growth of yourself and the company. This role can progress into management as we continue to grow within the region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate and maintain heavy combination vehicles to transport waste materials.

• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.

• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.

• Collaborate with the operations team to ensure timely and efficient service.

• Aid in the growth of our customer base within the region

• Answering phone calls and customer enquiries.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum HR driver’s license valid HC License preferred .

• Proven experience as a Truck Driver.

• Experience within the waste industry preferred but not required.

• Knowledge of the local area

• Strong understanding of road safety regulations.

• Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused attitude.

• Ability to operate Microsoft suite and learn company programs. 

• Willingness to learn and develop the position as you go.
