• Architectural/Engineering - Servicing commercial building and engineering projects with permanent steel, aluminium and feature elements

• Industrial - Provision of specialist personnel and equipment for specific rigging and access projects

• Scaffold - the hire, transport and erection of some of the biggest scaffolds in Victoria

As a member of the APS team you will have the opportunity to work alongside some of Australia's largest building contractors on some of Melbourne's most iconic projects.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced draftsman with some engineering, drafting, shop detailing and 3D modelling skills.

Working  in our office on most of our Building and Engineering projects, you will be part of the Steel Fabrication team. You will be responsible for a specific projects where you will work with the Project Managers to model and detail various elements.

In addition you will be required to learn and/or improve on your drafting skills to assist project managers in the steelwork process. This will require you to work with our draftsmen, designers and fabricators to produce all aspects of workshop detailing, concept drawings and connection details to ensure accuracy and smooth operations.

Skills and experience

To be eligible for the role you will show experience in the following:

• Knowledge of AutoCAD in an architectural or production environment

• Knowledge or experience in Shop Detailing and 3D Modelling of steelworks in Tekla and/or similar software

• Computer skills

• Read and analyse architectural and engineering documents to design the necessary components for the project

• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

• A current drivers license
