ICM Agribusiness Pty Ltd trading as Peechelba Beef runs a 27,000 head beef cattle feedlot that provides specialist feedlot rations to cattle. The property is spread over 685 hectares of fertile river flats with the feedlot constructed on the adjacent undulating terrain. The operation produces grain and fodder crops for use in mixed rations which are fed to cattle within the feedlot. We are seeking motivated and experienced truck drivers to join our team. The Truck Driver will work as part of the Pen Cleaning team and or the Feeds team to efficiently clean, cart and process manure or feed, and care for and control commodities for cattle on the farm/feedlot.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manoeuvring vehicles into position for loading and unloading

2. Loading and unloading vehicles using lifting or tipping device

3. Observing safety requirements when loading and unloading vehicles

4. Making regular quality checks of vehicles to ensure they can be driven safely

5. Estimating weights to comply with load limitations and ensuring safe distribution of weight

6. Ensuring good are stowed and securely covered to prevent loss or damage

7. Conduct pre-start checks on all trucks in the fleet and ensure all trucks are kept clean and regularly maintained.

8. Assist with the implementation of internal policies and procedures to ensure that efficient feeding is conducted on a day-to-day basis.

9. Pro-active maintenance of all fixed and moving equipment in the Pen Cleaning and Feeds departments (greasing of bearings/tightening of chains etc.)

10. Ensure responsibility for the care and welfare of all cattle on site by delivering feed to all pens requiring it in a timely manner.

11. Keep accurate records of machine servicing, maintenance, fertiliser and ration testing.

12. Be open and willing to adopt new processes, innovations and ideas in the milling and feeding department.

13. Ensure a high standard of presentation is maintained around the designated work area and farm/feedlot.

14. Maximise the sustainable return from the land, capital, commodity, plant, equipment and water assets used with that department.

15. To follow all required Work Health and Safety policies and procedures while operating plant and equipment.

Position Criteria:

1. One year of experience operating trucks.

2. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.

3. Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision when required.

4. An ability to follow set protocols and ensure compliance with relevant animal welfare, safety, and QA requirements.
