SHEET METAL WORKER

We are a metal fabrication company looking for a motivated individual to join our existing staff. We specialise in the manufacture and installation of balustrades, infill panels, staircases, gates and a wide variety of items for both the residential and commercial market. We also fabricate and install architectural metal works including art works throughout the Perth Metro area.

Description

As a Sheet Metal Worker, you will be responsible for working with various types of metal to create and possibly install a wide range of products. This includes fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal products. Attention to detail and a strong understanding of metalworking techniques are crucial for success in this role.

Responsibilities

Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal products according to blueprints and specifications
Cut, shape, and form metal sheets using hand tools and machinery such as shears, brakes, and drills
Measure and mark dimensions on metal sheets to ensure accurate cutting and shaping
Weld or solder metal joints and seams to create a strong and secure bond
Inspect finished products for quality and make necessary adjustments or repairs
Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure efficient and effective project completion
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements

Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Worker or in a similar role
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and machinery common in sheet metal work
Strong understanding of metalworking techniques and principles
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Good physical fitness and manual dexterity
Keen attention to detail and ability to work with precision
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines
