LOOKING FOR EXPERIENCED PLUMBERS  & PIPE LAYERS  - IMMEDIATE START AVAILABLE  

PPD & GAS are seeking experienced and highly motivated plumbers, and pipe layers to join our growing commercial & civil plumbing team. 

 

About us

PPD & GAS prides itself on high quality work standards and completes a wide range of high-profile projects within the commercial, civil and department of defence sector. We are based in Brisbane however; we complete jobs all over Queensland therefore travel will be required for certain jobs. 

 

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of proven experience as a commercial and/or civil plumber, with a strong understanding of plumbing systems and infrastructure - If you are an apprentice and have experience in these areas please apply.

• Extensive knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and industry best practices.

• Experience with in-ground civil and hydraulic services 

• Experience in leading and coordinating projects 

• Solve Problems On-Site: Provide practical solutions to challenges as they arise. 

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a positive attitude.

• Current QLD Plumbing Licence and Construction White Card

• Drivers Licence & own work vehicle. 

• High level organisational skills, be able to forecast project works and organise materials and communicate with onsite principal contractor teams. 

• Licences & Certifications for Civil Earthmoving, EWP, High Risk Work, WAH, Confined Space would be highly regarded but not essential.

• A requirement to work on department of defence sites involves employees to pass a police clearance check. This is a essential for employment with PPD & GAS. 

 

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Ability to read detailed construction plans

• Be able to effectively document works and liaise with clients about onsite workflow

• Be able to effectively use management systems (service m8)

• Effectively communicate to all stakeholders/ clients/ colleagues both verbally and via email.

• Lead and co-ordinate projects to a high standard both in efficiency and workmanship.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
