Bendigo Air and Hydraulics is seeking a skilled Fitter and Turner to join our dynamic team in Bendigo, Victoria. As a Fitter and Turner, you will play a crucial role in the maintenance and repair of industrial machinery. What you'll be doing

• Performing maintenance and repair tasks on a variety of industrial machinery and equipment including mining and quarrying plant and equipment

• Troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical issues, and implementing effective solutions

• Interpreting technical drawings and specifications to carry out complex fitting and turning tasks

• Adhering to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment

• Collaborating with team members to optimise workflow and improve efficiency

• Maintaining detailed records of work performed and parts used

What we're looking for

• Formal qualifications, eg. Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade) or a related trade

• Proven experience in a similar Fitter and Turner role, preferably within the industrial sector

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
