Zenith Energy offers an exciting opportunity for a Power Station Operator Maintainer (Electrical) to join our operations division. This is a full-time, permanent Fly-In, Fly-Out (FIFO) role from Perth, based at Bellevue, with a 2/2-week even-time roster.

About The Role

Reporting to the Hybrid Power Station Manager, the PSOM Electrical will assume the electrical supervisor responsibilities under WA Electrical Licensing regulations. This is a hands-on operational and maintenance role, not a team supervision position.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Carry out planned and unplanned maintenance on power generation and associated electrical systems.
  • Operate and maintain reciprocating engines, control systems, and auxiliary plant.
  • Perform electrical fault finding, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory electrical requirements and act as the nominated Electrical Supervisor for the site.
  • Verify electrical work quality and compliance with relevant standards and legislation.
  • Maintain accurate electrical records, reports, and documentation.
  • Support safe systems of work, including isolation and permit processes.
  • Raise and maintain work orders and purchase requests in the ERP system.
  • Attend after-hours callouts while on site for breakdowns and urgent faults.

What We Are Looking For

Experience

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years post-trade experience.
  • Extensive experience in electrical maintenance, fault diagnosis, and operational support across power generation, heavy industry, or similar complex systems.
  • Extensive experience performing HV Switching operations
  • Proven experience in operating and/or repairing power generation equipment would be desirable.

Skills

  • Sound understanding of WHS compliance for electrical work.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in remote environments.
  • Adept in problem-solving issues and implementing solutions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with ERP systems (e.g. Pronto, Ellipse, SAP).

Qualifications/ Certifications/ Licenses

  • WA Electrical Workers License 
  • Recognised trade qualifications in either an electrical or mechanical discipline.
  • HV Switching 
  • Eligibility and willingness to be nominated as the Electrical Supervisor under WA legislation.
  • Open class (not automatic restricted) WA driver’s license.

Desirable

  • Nationally accredited EWP licence
  • Supervised Gas worker training 
  • Fly In and Fly Out experience
