We are seeking an experienced Fitter and Turner to support the ongoing operation of our modern feed mill and associated equipment. This is a critical role focused on preventative maintenance, breakdown response, and continuous improvement of our milling operations.

About the Role

Reporting to the Mill Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for:

·         Preventative maintenance of the feed mill and associated machinery

·         Diagnosing faults using vibration and noise monitoring

·         Timely response to maintenance requests and breakdowns

·         Repairs and equipment modifications to minimise downtime

·         Calibration and adjustment of machinery to operational standards

·         Managing spare parts stock and maintenance records

·         Participating in an on-call roster

·         Supporting maintenance at Mountain View Poultry as required

·         Contributing to improvement projects to reduce unplanned stoppages

·         Maintaining strict compliance with all WHS requirements

About You

You are a trade-qualified mechanical professional who thrives in a fast-paced industrial environment and takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly.

Essential:

·         Trade qualification as Fitter/Turner

·         Strong mechanical background with proven fault-finding and troubleshooting skills

·         Ability to work both autonomously and within a team

·         Excellent attention to detail and safety awareness

·         Strong communication and time-management skills

Highly Desirable:

·         Forklift licence

·         Confined space certification

·         EWP licence

·         Computer skills (Microsoft Office and various Apps)
