UHI Machinery is a fast-growing supplier of heavy equipment for the farming and construction industries across Australia. With continued business growth, we are now seeking a reliable Mechanic Assistant to join our Toowoomba team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on mechanical experience who is looking for a stable, long-term role in a supportive workshop and warehouse environment.


Position Details

Position: Mechanic Assistant
Location: Toowoomba, QLD
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: $70,000 – $90,000 + Super (depending on experience)


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with pre-delivery inspections (PDI) of machinery

  • Support mechanics with machine servicing and maintenance

  • Carry out basic mechanical and maintenance tasks

  • Manage and organise workshop and warehouse parts

  • Assist with receiving, checking, and allocating parts

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop and warehouse environment


About You

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in mechanical, workshop, or machinery-related roles

  • Basic knowledge of diesel, agricultural, or construction machinery is an advantage

  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Willingness to learn and work as part of a team

  • Forklift licence is an advantage but not essential

  • Reliable, hands-on, and physically fit
