Lennon Engineering & Construction Pty Ltd (LEC) was established in 1989 and is a wholly Australian owned and operated company specialising in engineering and construction solutions to the Petro-Chemical Industry.
Our fleet of service vehicles cover Victoria, New South Wales, Tasmania and Queensland. Our well-equipped facilities, designed specifically to cater for the broad range of services we offer our customers, includes an engineering workshop, fuel bowser/dispensing maintenance workshop, on-site fuel storage and fuel systems process management workshop.
We are committed to delivering quality products and services in all areas of the refuelling industry including Aviation, Mining, Rural, Service Stations and Unmanned Truck Stops.
About the Role
Due to recent staff promotions & changes, we are seeking a leading hand/ Fuel Service Technician to join our service team in North QLD.
Duties
Carry out servicing and repairs including replacing components (pumps, bowsers, tank level instrumentation, Fuel management systems etc.
Changing fuel & air filters, servicing bowser/pumps, calibrating pulse meters and level gauges, cleaning waste out of pump bays and mechanical repairs,
Completion of service reports and uploading documentation and photos.
Assist when required with project construction activities.
Manage sub-contractors as required within company guidelines and procedures
Effectively fault find and provide / deliver effective solutions to problems
Maintain logs, and record labour, materials, and equipment used.
Staff management, local job allocation, purchasing, approve timesheets & customer communications.
Installation capability for fuel dispensing systems including above and underground works; and
Willing to travel away from home for extended periods (up to 2 weeks).
Skills and Abilities
The ability to:
prioritise emergency situations, think critically, meet deadlines and work autonomously;
read drawings/schematics to service and install components; and
manage the replacement parts inventory
Have an excellent understanding of safety rules.
Be familiar with current legislation.
A sound knowledge of business administration processes including quoting, procurement, job costing and invoicing.
Have exceptional attention to detail, common sense approach and accuracy.
Possess excellent interpersonal skills with strong customer service experience and background.
Display a strong work ethic and be enthusiastic and team focused.
Demonstrated experience with switchboards, control panels and gauges will be highly regarded.
Your Qualifications and Experience
3 years’ experience within the Fuel Industry.
Current clean driver’s license (ESSENTIAL) Manual License preferred
Hazardous Area experience
Trade qualifications and/or NMI Certification would be advantageous
