Rich Crew Ceramics is a growing tile installation company based in Melrose Park, NSW, delivering high-quality ceramic and stone tiling solutions across residential and commercial projects throughout Sydney and surrounds. We take pride in our craftsmanship, our team culture, and our commitment to getting every job done right — from the first tile to the final inspection. We're expanding our crew and looking for a skilled and reliable Wall and Floor Tiler to join our team on-site projects.
Reporting to our Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering professional tiling installations across a variety of projects. This is a hands-on role that demands precision, initiative, and a strong eye for detail.
Your Responsibilities
Planning & Preparation
· Receive job assignments from the Project Manager
· Measure and mark out construction areas prior to commencement
· Review job specifications and verify material availability
· Identify and advise on any additional materials or orders required
Tile Installation
· Remove existing tiles and other surface materials as required
· Fill holes and cracks, and apply filler or levelling compounds where needed
· Apply waterproof membranes in wet areas as required
· Clean and level job areas in preparation for tiling
· Cut and shape tiles for edges, corners, and detailed areas in accordance with design plans
· Set tiles using the appropriate adhesives as per project specifications
· Apply and finish grout to a high standard
· Remove excess grout and ensure surfaces are clean upon completion
· Carry out post-installation inspections to confirm quality and compliance
Site & Administrative Duties
· Mentor and provide on-site training to trainees and new labourers
· Attend site inductions as required
· Adhere to all site regulations, WHS policies, and safe work practices
What We’re Looking For
· Relevant formal qualification in Wall and Floor Tiling
· A minimum of 3 years' skilled employment experience as a Wall and Floor Tiler
· Sound knowledge of industry safety standards and practices
· Proficiency in measuring, cutting, and installing various tile types
· Strong understanding of tile materials, adhesives, and grouting techniques
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications
· High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
· Physical stamina — ability to lift heavy materials and remain on your feet for extended periods
· Reliable personal transport and a valid Australian driver's licence
