Due to continued growth within our Aftermarket Technical Services division, we are seeking an experienced QA/QC Inspector to join our Australian team.

As a QA/QC Inspector within the Aftermarket Technical Services team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, compliance, and integrity of fabrication, welding, and refurbishment works across our installed equipment base.
This position has a strong emphasis on:
Fabrication inspections
Welding inspections and compliance
Repair and modification works
Manufacturing Data Records (MDRs) and quality documentation control
You will work across both workshop and site environments, supporting shutdowns, upgrades, rebuilds, and major component repairs on heavy materials handling equipment, including balance machines.
Conduct detailed QA/QC inspections of fabrication, welding, repair, and modification works
Perform welding inspections in accordance with AS 1554 and relevant Australian and international standards
Verify weld procedures, welder qualifications, and consumable control
Monitor and inspect structural repairs, platework, mechanical components, and heavy fabrication
Prepare, review, and compile Manufacturing Data Records (MDRs)
Develop and review ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans), quality plans, and procedures
Ensure full traceability of materials, welding consumables, and repair documentation
Review material certificates and manage documentation packages
Raise and manage NCRs, support root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
Participate in FATs, SATs, and commissioning activities where required
Support coating inspections (NACE or equivalent highly desirable)
Provide practical, workshop-based and site-based quality oversight in dynamic shutdown environments
Work closely with engineering, site service, and project teams to ensure quality and compliance outcomes
Proven experience as a QA/QC Inspector in mining, heavy engineering, or materials handling
Strong background in heavy fabrication and welding inspection (essential)
Demonstrated experience managing and compiling MDRs
Sound knowledge of AS 1554 and applicable structural and welding standards
Experience with repair methodologies, structural modifications, and shutdown works
Practical hands-on workshop and site inspection experience
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, weld maps, and technical specifications
Experience with large materials handling equipment (stackers, reclaimers, conveyors, balance machines) highly regarded
NACE or coating inspection qualifications (desirable)
Strong documentation and reporting capability
Proactive, detail-focused, and solutions-oriented mindset
