The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paints, varnishes and other finishes, and carrying out a full range of painting and decorating work across residential and commercial sites. <h3>Benefits</h3><ul><li>Competitive remuneration&nbsp;</li><li>Full-time, stable employment with a growing, locally owned business</li><li>Supportive team environment with a focus on safety and professionalism</li><li>Variety of residential and commercial projects across Adelaide</li></ul> <h3>Task & responsibilities</h3><ul><li style="text-align:justify;">Erect scaffolding and ladders and place drop sheets to protect adjacent areas from paint splattering</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Prepare surfaces by removing old paint and wallpaper, fixing woodwork, filling holes and cracks, and smoothing and sealing surfaces</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Select and prepare paints to required colours by mixing portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying additives</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Apply paints, varnishes and stains to surfaces using brushes, rollers and spray equipment</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Hang wallpaper, match patterns and trim edges to a neat, professional finish</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Clean equipment and maintain work areas to a safe and tidy standard throughout the job</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Repair windows and replace glass in wooden and metal frames as required</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Lay and repair wall and floor tiles as required</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Apply paint, varnish, wallpaper and other finishes to protect, maintain and decorate surfaces of buildings and structures</li></ul> <h3>Qualification & experience</h3><ul><li>AQF&nbsp;Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or in higher relevant qualification is required.</li><li>Minimum 1 year of work experience of working with both residential and commercial sites</li><li>Demonstrated experience as a Painting Trades Worker, Experience with wallpaper hanging and tiling</li><li>Familiarity with colour matching and paint mixing systems</li><li>Proficiency in preparation, brush, roller and spray application techniques</li><li>Knowledge of OH&amp;S requirements and safe work practices</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team</li></ul>
